Your chance to vote

I have entered a competition as a woman maker and designer. If you didn’t know I started a women’s clothing business 2 years ago.  If you haven’t seen my website before – check it out: http://www.kerryobrine.co.uk/

Triumph are holding a competition for creative women who make. Giving us a chance to win a £10,000 business bursary and a years mentoring! This is an amazing opportunity and I am really excited about it. It would be a real boost to my business and a chance to get some advice from some amazing women who make!

In order to get through the competition I need votes.

I hope I have your vote. All you need to do is this:

  • click through to my page on the Triumph page here
  • click vote and you’re done!

You will have made someone smile (me!) for free! You will feel all warm and fuzzy inside – good deeds – it’s a win win.

Morning tea – Grey and black

It’s a little early in the morning for pictures. You can see how thrilled I looked! Morning cup of tea to get the grey cells going and my studio assistant has already got the camera out!! But here I am dressed in my black Missy dress, accessorised with a grey lace jacket. The jacket looks good flying loose but I have added a grey belt to nip in at the waist. The volume of the jacket works well over the fitted dress.

I’ve also pic 2added one key accessory – the grey/silver bracelet.

Black and grey are a great work combination. Have a go at mixing your work wardrobe up – you might have a grey suit jacket that would look great over a black dress?

Try these out:

Like the jacket I am wearing, this cardigan has a waterfall effect at the front. You could wear it loose or add a belt:

I love a black suit for work. It’s a classic and you really can’t go wrong with it (unless it fits badly). A well fitting black suit you can bring out season after season for work.
You can always buy new versions with interesting features such as a satin lapel or a peplum jacket.
But if you want to stick to your own suit but update it, a great way to do it is to add a bright colour in your accessories. Reference current colour trends or just pick a colour that looks amazing on you.
Bright colours would look really great right now in the summer heat.
(although as I write this it started raining….I’m sure the sun will be back!!!)
