The August weekend was stuffed full of heat and rushing around. Saturday was spent cutting fabric – which is hard to concentrate on when the sunshine is calling! Then Sunday I am early into the City to meet up with a good friend and we visit the first day at Pure. The highlight of the day was the trend presentation from WGSN. Always great to hear about the upcoming trends and how they can be applied to a boutique customer. This presentation was focused on macro trends for Spring Summer 2013. As for the trend presentation from WGSN, there was still a big focus on peplums. There was a slight shift to asymmetry in peplums and openings. Be careful with this trend and make sure your peplum sits in a flattering place.
